インドについて
インドについてのヴィヴェーカーナンダの著作は、この国の文明の偉大さ、植民地支配下の現在の苦難、そして霊的・社会的刷新による再興の運命を描いた壮大なビジョンをなしています。インドが世界に贈る独自の賜物は霊的哲学であると論じつつ、国家の再生には、大衆の貧困、カーストの抑圧、教育の欠如に、宗教的実践と同じ切実さで取り組まねばならないと主張しました。インドをめぐる彼の講演と論考は、近代インド・ナショナリズムと社会改革運動の基礎文献であり続けています。
