教育について
ヴィヴェーカーナンダの教育哲学は、単なる知識の収集を退けて人格の形成を重んじ、教育とはすべての人間の内にすでに存在する完全性の顕現であると説くものでした。彼は西洋の最良の科学教育とインドの伝統の道徳的・霊的修練を結びつけた制度を求め、インドの再生に最も緊急に必要なものとして大衆教育を強調しました。そのビジョンはインド各地の教育機関の創設に大きな影響を与え、今なお教育学と国家発展をめぐる議論を形づくり続けています。
