देखो! न सूर्य है, न सुन्दर चन्द्रमा,
समस्त प्रकाश लुप्त; विशाल शून्य में
छाया-सदृश तैरता है प्रतिबिम्ब-ब्रह्माण्ड।
मन के अन्तर्मुखी शून्य में तैरता है
यह क्षणभंगुर विश्व, उठता और तैरता है,
पुनः डूबता है, अनवरत, "मैं" की धारा में।
धीरे-धीरे, धीरे-धीरे, छाया-समूह
मूल गर्भ में प्रवेश करता गया, और बहती रही अनवरत,
एकमात्र धारा, "मैं हूँ", "मैं हूँ"।
देखो! वह भी रुक गई, वह धारा भी अब नहीं बहती,
शून्य शून्य में विलीन — वाणी और मन से परे!
जिसका हृदय समझता है, वही सचमुच समझता है।

Floats shadow-like the image-universe.
In the void of mind involute, there floats
The fleeting universe, rises and floats,

Entered the primal womb, and flowed ceaseless,
