नारी पर
विवेकानन्द नारी-सशक्तिकरण के मुखर समर्थक थे और उन्होंने घोषणा की कि किसी राष्ट्र की प्रगति उसकी नारियों की स्थिति से मापी जा सकती है। उन्होंने नारी-शिक्षा, आर्थिक स्वावलम्बन और आध्यात्मिक समानता का समर्थन किया, इस वेदान्तिक सिद्धान्त का आधार लेकर कि आत्मा लिंग-भेद से परे है। उन्होंने सामाजिक उत्थान के लिए एक नारी-नेतृत्व वाले आन्दोलन की कल्पना की और इस पर बल दिया कि नारियों को वैदिक काल में प्राप्त सम्मानित स्थान पर पुनः प्रतिष्ठित किए बिना भारत में कोई स्थायी सुधार सम्भव नहीं है।
